Here is a note about Kirchner I received on July 28, 2001.
Leon Kirchner is very much alive and still composing. He has in addition to
winning the Pulitzer Prize and numerous other awards- recently won a Grammy
on Sony records- best classical album of the year in 1999. Updated
biographical information can be acquired from his publishers at Schirmers in
New York who will have all the details and can give absolutely accurate
information as to recent works and awards.
A note from his daughter-Lisa Kirchner- who for one is thrilled about and has
first hand knowledge of Leon Kirchner being very much alive and well!
