Maurice Wright studied at Duke and Columbia Universities. After teaching at Columbia University and then at Boston University, Dr. Wright joined the faculty at Temple University in Philadelphia in 1980. Dr. Wright is now chair of the composition department at Temple University's Esther Boyer College of Music.
