Major Works:

  1. June 5th, 1973 (1998) for trombone and string orchestra – will be recorded September 2003 with the Bulgarian National Symphony Orchestra for the CD "Masterworks of the New Era".
  2. Tarot Images (1999) for piano – played at the Soroptimist fund-raising concert, NYC 2001
  3. New Kid on the Mountain (2000) for trombone and electronics – premiered at Carnegie Hall's Weill Recital Hall, November 2000.
  4. Bendicho juez de la verdad (2000) for trombone and electronics – numerous performances including Stanford University's CCRMA, Music Under Construction (New York), CUNY's Elebash Hall, Bar Ilan University (Israel), and UMBC's art@radio.
  5. God is Good to Daddy (2003) for electronics alone – premiered at the Synthese 2003 Festival in Bourges, France.

Other Information:
A native of Israel, Montreal-based composer Eldad Tsabary (1969) spent seven years in New York City where he composed chamber and orchestral music with special interest in trombone, guitar, and electro-acoustics. Recent performances include Carnegie's Weill Recital Hall, Stanford University's CCRMA, and the Bourges Festival in France.
Mr. Tsabary received his education at CUNY's Graduate School and University Center PhD program, the Mannes College of Music, and the Rimon School of Jazz and Contemporary Music in Israel. He studied composition under David Loeb, David Del Tredici, David Olan, and Tim Brady and theory under Carl Schachter, Philip Rupprecht, and Philip Lambert.
